Shiwiar Territory is located in Pastaza province, in Amazonian Ecuador, at around S 02'00 W 76'45.

The work in this report was done over the summer of 2000 by a team of UK and Ecuadorian researchers and students, with the aim of assisting in the progress towards a sustainable future for the Shiwiar people.

The results of this work are published in a report available to download in PDF chapters from this site. It is available in English, and in Spanish where indicated. A full Spanish version is available on request.

Other records include a set of tapes of all interviews, currently held by the Shiwiar organization in Puyo, and a video about the trip.
